Steven R. Ogburn

Steve entered banking out of college, joining First
Citizens Bank in Raleigh. He progressed to the position of Vice President before
moving to Peoples Bank and Trust as Commercial Lender and Raleigh Assistant City
Executive. He later became Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Manager,
with responsibilities in Correspondent Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions. In
1991, he joined Raleigh’s Triangle Bank as Senior Vice President and Chief
Credit Officer and was subsequently named Executive Vice President of both
Triangle Bank and Triangle Bancorp, Inc. and served as a member of the executive
management team. After the company was sold to Centura Banks, he stayed on as
Small Business Line Executive, responsible for both the Leasing Division and the
Small Business Loan Center, and served as a member of the bank’s Operating and
Loan committees. He left Centura to become a commercial real estate broker
before joining the effort to start CapStone Bank. |
